TGIBD (THANK GOD ITS BLOG DAY.)
After Pandu’s death, Kunti and her sons returned to Hastinapur. Their returning was alarming to the Kauravas because now who will get the throne? Pandu’s son or Dhritarashtra’s?
The malice that we talked about in the last blog led to two bummers.
The First:
Bhima was served sweets with poison. Unconscious Bhima was thrown into the river by the Kauravas with poisonous snakes (Nagas) to ensure that Bhima never comes back.
BUT, poison cures poison. (It’s bloody science bro!)
The more the snakes bit Bhima the more conscious he became. This revived Bhima and he was back to Hastinapur that was a sucker punch for the Kauravas.
The Second:
The Kuru house hold was definitely divided into two parts after the above incident. Because of this, Dhritarashtra decided to build another palace for the Pandavas and Kunti but the palace was made out of lac.
*lac picks up fire instantly*
Vidura told Kunti that his brother wants to set the palace to flames as soon as they enter the house and that Vidura has dug a tunnel for them to leave as soon as they enter the palace.
It happened as Vidura disclosed, the palace was burnt to ashes the same night as the Pandavs and Kunti entered it but they absconded from the tunnel.
The palace had 6 bodies burnt. A female and other five males. This made the Kauravas think that they have no one left to snatch their throne.
Dhritrashtra wept. Gandhari too. Bhishma was in shock. Even Duryodhan and Dusshasan cried.
Who was really mourning amongst them? No one knows.
